A On Time Moving LLC

These are bunch a of professional scammers. Please save your money while you can. Here’s what they did:

1. Estimated very low to win the quote from me.

2. They didn’t share any information that they’re the third party and not the actual moving company. Neither they shared the 3rd party driver’s info/contact until 30mins before my pickup time to put me in a situation that I cannot reverse. Because I’m all packed up, all utility connections are canceled, I have to leave, right?

3. They only allowed debit card payment (8% extra for credit card), so that you can’t reverse the payment later.

4. When the 3rd party showed up, they said we don’t go by the inventory list you have - we go by cubic feet, and your stuff is 4-5 time more than the quote. (Classic scam). How can my estimate be 500% wrong when all the inventory items are same, same dimensions and everything. The sales guy disappears the moment you make the first payment. There’s no way to call them and open a dispute when the truck guys are there as its out of their business hours. Wow! No escape!

5. I’m so glad that I denied the pickup and was bold enough to turn them away. I’m sure they would ask me ransom money after my stuff is loaded in their truck, and they leave.

PS: Stay away from these, be aware and check their DOT# - it says they’re broker and not the actual company. (There will be an unauthorized operation reported soon, just wait for me to file a police complaint). Plus act upon the awareness resources I found to save other peoples money from these nasty scammers.

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2700

Contracted with this broker for move from Massachusetts (5x10 storage unit which is 400 cu. ft.) to California. The binding estimate was for $2582. Took 50% down and the carrier was Pack Master Movers (which were also scammers). A few days before pickup of the goods they said the contract was written for only 286 cu. ft. and they raised the amount to $3736.95. They would not return the deposit so we went ahead with the move. Carrier (this is another review) arrived late (at dark) and only took 1/2 of the items in storage (had all kinds of excuses that made no sense of why they wouldn't take the rest). They took everything to New Jersey (Apple Air Tags in goods--which I would highly recommend tracking your goods) where the goods were for just shy of 4 weeks. Truck finally made it across the country but when it arrived, 8 of the 21 boxes loaded were missing. The boxes that did arrive were crushed with many items broken. There were only two small furniture items taken and they were damaged, one (TV stand) so severely that it is now unusable. The broker sucks you in with his kindness and then plays all kinds of games, lies, and he gives you his 'direct line' which is not a direct line and you will never speak to him again. The carrier holds your goods hostage until you pay more money. It was an absolute nightmare dealing with A On Time Movers and Pack Master Movers. Check out Better Business Bureau, A On Time Movers has had 32 complaints in the last 12 months and has an 'F' rating. Unfortunately, I didn't check this first. I looked at their 'slick' website, checked their DOT #, and insurance, and then trusted them. Also, check out Bizapedia, Pack Master Movers has 1 out of 5 stars and the comments are almost verbatim my story. If you do not want stress, do not hire this broker or carrier. BEWARE OF THEIR SCAMMING TECHNIQUES! They should not receive even a 1 star rating but you have to choose. So sad that 'companies' such as these exist to rob you.

BEWARE!!! THEY ARE BROKERS...After searching for a local mover on the internet, I called A On Time Moving (Phone #954-349-4272) to have my mother relocated from the Atlanta area to an Memory Care facility in Jacksonville, FL. We were quoted what we felt a reasonable price to have her belongings picked up, moved and unloaded. Most items were in boxes with the exception of artwork which we were told did not need to be packed because they would provide blankets. Lamps would also be wrapped in blankets. We went back and forth with a man named [NAME EDIT] (who was never to be reached again) as to how many boxes and bins there were. We have a very detailed inventory of all items to me on the truck at this point and were quoted $2378.03. Mom has dementia and this was a very difficult process for her to sort thru what to take as she was moving into a 430 square foot facility. We ended up having to add quite a bit to appease her and are now at $4482.05 for the move. This was a painful amount but we were promised there would be a 2 day window to have the items at the facility in Jax so we agreed to it. We sent the deposit amount of $2072, which had to be wire transferred (this should have been our red flag!) to secure this date. We planned to have everything unpacked for her arrival on July 30th. When the movers arrived on site they called and said I would need to speak to someone with the actual moving company which was S & M Relo LLC in Radnor, Ohio(phone #800-833-3132) Apparently the movers sent photos to their manager and he sent me a new estimate with a new 35 page estimate contract. The new "estimate'" was now $6552.20. Mind you, all of the items going to the 430 square foot facility have already been accounted for in the original estimate with [NAME EDIT] at S&M claimed the new amount was for all the packing material to pack the artwork and lamps which we were told did not need to be packed. Well, this amount was not at all reasonable but our hands were tied at this point so we agreed to it. Before I signed the contract I asked what time the delivery would happen because I would need to contact the memory care facility and make arrangements due to moving as well as covid restrictions. He then told me "within 30 days". Everything she owned would be sent to a storage facility, then brought down on a truck when other shipments were coming to the area. NOT at all what we discussed. We didn't use inexpensive pods for this move because of the short window we had to get her situated. This is when we pulled the plug and said halt the move. We understood at this point that we were being scammed and lost the $2K deposit, but it was not worth what it was putting our elderly, ill mother thru. This company is awful, they are all liars. I spoke to probably 6 different individuals during this 2 day ordeal and they couldn't have been more helpful and reassuring. Don't fall for it. The next thing they did that I'd like to add was block my calls and took the binding estimate down. Meaning we could not even access it from our own email. It was magically gone the moment I said I was not sending the new contract. They have this scam down.

Move size: Studio Service cost: $6552

1. A ON Time Moving LLC is not a company that provides any moving services. It contracts to third companies.

2. However it provided an initial quote (First Contract, signed and made a deposit) and revised one (near moving time, 2nd contract, added more than $1000, signed and made additional deposit) for the customer.

3. On the pickup day, the contracted moving company S & M Relo stepped in. All the contracts from A ON Time Moving were invalid or irrelevant, as S & M Relo took pictures of all moving items and gave you another quote (3rd contract, which is another ~ $1000 more, signed and paid additional deposit) without which, they would not upload the items to the moving truck (I was scheduled to fly to the new city the next day and did not have the option of not having the moving items uploaded).

4. A ON Time Moving LLC deceives customers by providing lower estimated quotes to lock them in for the services initially after which time, the quotes are irrelevant to the contracted moving company who does the actual move. 5. 5. That is why, A ON Time Moving LLC is not a broker as others would describe it, it is a scam as it is knowingly providing false information to make money.

6. A ON Time Moving LLC needs to be stopped and put out of business!!!

Move size: Studio Service cost: $5979

This is not a moving company it is a broker that finds you a moving company and wether they actually render services or not you will never see your money back. They will give you a estimated date and then never call. For us they were suppose to arrange us pick up in the time frame of the 20-21st of December and never called us until we were asking for our money back. Our deposit was 2000.90$ and was taken with no services rendered.

They will claim many things such as mechanical error, weather, or other issues and then tell you a different answers next time you talk with them. Fair warning, it states in their contract that they can indefinitely defer your move so long as mechanical issues or weather is their claim. We were moving from a state that gets snow, but there were zero weather issues on the original dates. I couldn’t tell you about the quality of movers they find, because we were never contacted by any movers claiming the contract. We had to call A on Time Moving’s customer service number for any updates, which we never got until we’ll past the estimate move window and because we were calling for a refund due to service not being rendered. They never gave us a solid date until we were asking for our money back in which it was too little too late and we already had to move ourselves. I will say if you want a solid date I would say ask for you money back because that’s when they will finally give you a “solid date”, it will most likely be a week or two into the future though so there is that. Also if you want information or updates and whatnot the email they provide “info@aontimemoving.com” will never get back to you. I emailed them on the 23rd of December and still haven’t heard anything from them. Be prepared to not get answers when you call them and for them to avoid your calls. I would consider their practices deceptive, unethical, as well as unprofessional as I had one representative named Brittany laugh audible while on the phone with us.

We have already moved and can’t use the deposits as credit for the future, most people aren’t planning on moving in the next 365 days from their move as far as I’m aware so why they would have the only option as “future moving credit” as their only “refund” option is beyond me.

If I could give this service a zero I would have. I’ve just graduated from college and I would like to help others avoid this scam as I’m sure with COVID that most people who have it hard would like to hold on to their 2k for their loans or past due bills they have to pay off or for food for their kids or for money for the new start they are about to have. In the future if anyone asks my opinion about them it will be a hard NO.

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2000

Nightmare. An absolute nightmare. No calls answered, no help given. I was lied to and strung along for 4 long months without my life's worth of belongings. I thought I would never see my items again. I'm still missing some things, and all my furniture is damaged. I moved from Oregon to Illinois on January 31, and was supposed to have my things on February 28 according to the contract. I was told multiple times I would have stuff by then. I didn't get my stuff until April 27th! I was lied to weekly, being told that "a truck is coming next week". All these people do is lie, demand money, and fabricate bs stories to make you believe they are on your side. It's horrible to be in a new place and have NOTHING but what you brought in your suitcase... and not know when or if you will have your bed and your cookware, books, everything. I am supposed to be compensated for such late delivery, but they refuse to help me at customer service. Please, PLEASE do not use this scam of a company. I truly don't understand how they are still in business. Crooks, scum, horrible people. STAY AWAY!

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $3500

If I could give a NEGATIVE 10 star on this it would be a compliment. This company will lie to you on every conversation. We were in a bind to move a small amount to Florida on a time schedule and found this company. Alex Miller their sales rep was very helpful and made us feel comfortable on first contact. We TRUSTED him. He gave us his direct line and said he would help every step of the way. Yep, LAST time we talked to him. The problems started and he disappeared. I started calling dispatch and they are the same. LIES, LIES, LIES every call. Our load did NOT get picked up after the 3 day window and at that point we had to leave town and no one there to sit around day after day wondering if they were coming. We also have a lesson learned here, read every word of your contract. The loop holes are there. Unfortunately we trusted Alex Miller. Enjoy the $1000 you stole from us as we will NEVER forget you for the $7000+ business loss you caused us. This company will cause you frustration, anger, and a loss of time and money. Why can’t you just be honest upfront? Answer to that is……they don’t care. Once they get your deposit it’s out of their hands. They leave it entirely up to the trucking company they brokered it to. Which will cost you more money because they under estimate your load. DO NOT USE!

Move size: 1 Bedroom Home Service cost: $4500

If you are an active duty service member and live on post DO NOT HIRE this company. I went through several contracts and it seems that none of the Carriers they hired were allowed on post. Furthermore when I asked to get at least half of my deposit back they would tell me that still wanted to “help me”. Once they failed the third time to move my things they didn’t return my calls. If you are in the military and live on post you have been warned. Alex my “ Customer rep” never return any of my calls after a point.

Move size: Partial Move Service cost: $1106

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are just a broker and not a moving company. They will list your inventory on your estimate and give you a price, but they dont give you nearly enough space for 1/3 of the inventory listed. They dont go by the inventory, they just give you a very small space based on cubic feet so going over the inventory didnt matter. I paid the deposit and they called me a week prior and i paid additonal money for extra space. The movers show up and i show them where everything on the inventory is located. The man tells me that i dont have enough room and i will need to pay for additonal space or they will just load what they can to fill the space. The man also said it would take 14 business days before they would have my inventory show up to my house because they were taking it to a warehouse and taking it off the truck. They wanted over $3000 more dollars for the move. I spent a couple hours making calls, being ignored because they dont answer your call at this point. So i was stuck between paying the extra money to still not fit everything that was needed, or take the loss of the security deposit. The movers left, forfeiting my deposit and here i am trying to find another option being that im set to move in a couple days. Do not ever use them. The biggest scam ever !

Move size: 2 Bedroom Home Service cost: $2600

I was quoted a price of $2109.47 and landed up paying a total of $3872.47. It started at pick up when the carriers said they were told I only needed 286 cubic ft, which clearly wasn't enough for all my belongings. I needed in total 500 cubic feet. Meanwhile I initially told Brett all the items I was transporting to my destination. I was told by Brett, I would have to put 50% down of the balance upon which would have been $585.24, instead I had to kick out $1688 before they would load their truck. I was told by an employee named Sam, that because I needed more space, they had to charge an additional binding fee of $720 and fuel surcharge of $293.75, plus $973.70 for additional cubic feet. Sam also said they don't do refunds. I was told my belongings would arrive in 5 to 6 days and they arrived in 11 days. Upon delivery the drive was rude and insisted upon an additional $75 to deliver my belongs to the second floor which I told Brett in the initial interview it was going to the second floor. I could have rented a U-Haul and hired better movers than what I experienced with A On Time Moving, LLC and the carrier White Stone Moving LLC provided. Be aware of this company and their carriers who demand more money. They know people moving out of state are in a time sensitive situation and they don't care. I had to leave my apartment by a certain date, and I didn't have enough time to look for another company, but also, I had paid A On Time Moving, LLC a deposit of $939 per their request. Please know that A On Time Moving, LLC is not a moving company but a broker, as the carriers refer to them. The don't care what happens after that and they are rude and give you the run around when you try to call and inquire about your pick or drop off status. Please do not use this company, you will land up coming out of your pocket more than what was quoted. And at the end of the day, they don't care, because they received their payment and or your moving has been complete.

This company cheated me at every step. In fact, some broker (Marathon Logistics) called me, and they have assured to pick the household items by the specified dates and to deliver at the destination. At that time, I was not aware that this is a broker company and transport company is different. After so many hassles, some local company called (on time moving) and arranged to pick the items, but at the end, they said the volume is more (almost double as compared to earlier estimated by Marathon company) and conveyed that I need to pay more at the destination once items are delivered. Next, items were not delivered on time, and it took almost few more weeks to reach. The transporter delivered items, but all were in damaged condition, and few were missing too. They took all the money in cash and ran away without fixing any assembled items such as beds, sofa, dining table etc. When I spoke to the broker, they provided some website to lodge the claim which was immediately done. After sending all the pictures of damaged items, they accepted only few dollars (peanut) and asked to submit the notarized copy which was submitted well in time. Even after 4 - 5 months, they have sent nothing. This company is a real scam and all folks to be arrested by Police for cheating. Along with this company, Marathon Logistics people also to be arrested who are the real culprit. Please don't use either of these companies anymore. They don't care after receiving the payment. More or less, these companies to be blacklisted in the market and should not be allowed to do any business.
